outdoor annex

this project involved expanding the exterior social area of a private residence while staying true to the original architectural language of the house. the main challenge was integrating the new space without altering or disrupting the existing interior layout.

the solution was a corner colonnaded terrace that creates a romantic and welcoming outdoor gathering space while carefully preserving natural light inside the home. the design balances openness and shelter, allowing the exterior to feel like a natural extension of the house rather than an addition, and making the outdoor space an integral part of everyday living.
