outdoor pool area

this project involved the design of an outdoor pool area on a site with very steep and challenging topography. beyond the pool and pool house proposal itself, the key task was understanding the terrain and how the new elements could sit naturally within it.

a detailed topographic plan and site survey were essential to determine the exact position of the pool, its relationship to the house, and the appropriate distance between structures. working carefully with existing contour lines allowed the design to minimize excavation, respect the natural slope, and place the pool house in a way that felt balanced rather than forced.

this project highlights how landscape and technical planning go hand in hand, and how careful site analysis can turn a difficult terrain into an opportunity rather than a limitation.
